Friends I think a great injustice is being done to NSC filers , their applications are taking months for ead and ap, while TSC filers are getting ead adn AP as soon as they get receipt, do you think this will improve for NSC in future, at this time looks like august NSC filers will haveto wait till the end of the year for EAD,ap, which is sad.

What word we should use for july 2 filers who r still waiting for receipts as july 23 or later or even early august filers getting the receipts. People who got their receipts already boarded the bus, it is just a matter of time when they gill get the seat. People who haven't even got their receipts are still waiting for the next bus. Many people are worried that they might even miss the bus (Fearing that their application may be rejected).

Got following email today on my daughters case today. NSC July Filer. EB2 I Mar 2006.
All our cases show this status now.
Any idea what happens next?

Employer has to show that he can support all the employees that have an 140 pending. It cannot be attributed to being sadistic alone.
However, having an official AC21 process would be good.
I think so too, the employer wants to scr** us while we are with him, but he doesn�t care a rats a** if we are not with him even if we have worked for him for years. The employer has to show ability to pay since GC is for future employment, so he simply revokes 140 to get rid of this burden. The whole system has flaws and Indian EB immigrants are the worst affected.

My employer has always provided me the receipt numbers. I'm talking about the physical receipt notice which I might need just in case i need to invoke AC21.
IF you have used your personal checks the receipt is usually at the back of the checks. Esle just call the help desk and give all your information and if the guy is in good mood he can provide you the receipt number.

Not sure about the purpose of this thread but mine was applied on 29th April. Started seeing updates after 15th May. Got the approval update around 25th and cards on 7th (except that sp far all cards for me and my family used to arrive at same day this time they arrived on diffrerent days).

I received receipt nos. from CSC. Later i received EAD also. Today i received mail from USCIS stating that my case is transferred to Nebraska. :(

Anything less than 800,000 is good... even a few hundred thousand less :) There's still a lot of work and patience required but a good news is a good news nevertheless.

I was told that Sen. Pelosi did not directly endorse the bill, but she is fine with amnesty bills. I think we may finally see something cooking. If we don't, then chances are we need to wait till 2009 !!

Yes. 2001 to 2002 was the worst period as far as job market goes. I know, a lot of my friends left the country and went back to India. I was without a job for 5 months in 2001. Luckily, I had a secure job during 9/11 and afterwards. But, if 2008 is going to be anything like 2001-02, everyone should start preparing for it. Most of the members in IV might have an option to port their jobs, thanks to AC21. But, there are so many unlucky people who will have a tough time. From my past experiences and based on the current market, I think, banking is and will be the worst hit sector. Food Products, Medical, Insurance industries should be ok.
I had a lunch meeting with the President of my consulting Company.(This is an american company). She met with a few CIO's and gave us their view points. Most of these CIO's are going to budget for new projects and products for this fiscal year and beyond. But, they said, they will be cautious in actually using the budget so early in the year.
My personal opinion, If anyone is planning to use AC21 to port jobs, please do so carefully. If you already have a stable job, it would be best to hold on to it, instead of looking for better pay at this time.

Canadian Border is like an hour nad half drive for me. I can drive up to border but i don't have a canadian visa. So i will be denied an entry and if i return back will i get a new I-94?

Generally when you are travelling by road to canada they do not issue new I-94s. You have to be in Canada for atlease a week or so to ask for a new I-94. I travelled on business few times. They never gave me new I-94s saying I have been there only for a night. I think, the I-94 attached to your H1 extension should be valid till that H1 expires.
Years ago(1999), my wife's I-94 expired, because at the airport the immigration office entered wrong date. We never verified. We were going by the H4 validity. After the expire date, I spoke my lawyer he was prepared to file for new I-94 but asked for 750USD. I went to the local immigration office in Boston and they corrected it without any issue.
Very recently as last week, we were coming from Canda after spending a week. We crossed the border by ferry, my wife's passport is due to expire in couple of months, her current I-94 is valid for 2 years. We told the office that we do not need a new I-94 and he was OK with that.
So check with the local immigration office, but only after getting a new passport.

Hahaha, despite the fact that an ever so considerate d100 user decided to sit himself at the edge of the runway to check his images on my last show shoot, effectively ruining 30% of my shots. Hi All,
I am on H1B from 1998, 12th year and counting.
I applied for my labour 2 times but unfortunately because of different reasons those labor processings could not continue. 3rd time I could use a substitute labor (priority date Oct 2003) which is an EB3 labor certificate in 2005. I applied for I-140 and got approved in 2005.
I applied for I-485 in July 2007 when USCIS opened the gates. My 485 is pending. I got EAD. I am still continuing my H1B status with my new employer.
I am not working for the company that processed my GC. Recently I got an RFE like everyone else about my current employment and responded with the support of my current employer.
I think that the dates for EB3 will not move any further in any near future.
My question is, can I in any way convert my case from EB3 to EB2. If yes, what would be the process.
Please advice.

Winner, Could you or somebody please inform the blog owner of the issue (I am not visting that site again :eek: :mad:). I lost a day due to the virus, don't want anyone else to experience that... this was a pretty nasty virus. Be warned & very careful out there guys!!
