If your company is paying why not go to India. If you have all the necessary paperwork, proper letters and your company is willing to provide any other documents like tax returns etc if needed stamping in India would be easier (they always prefer you go to your home country I guess its easier for them to evaluate and process your case) that being said I have had my H1 stamping done in Canada (because the company that I worked for didn't want me to be away from work more than a week), I had two done in India (both were a breeze) I have never been to Mexico for stamping so

I recently updated my address thro AR 11 online and also submitted the SRC numbers for the 485 pending for myself and wife. I received a mail (post) stating that USCIS has received my change of address notification and they have udated the new address to my 485 application. I received two seperate letters for me and spouse. But there is no change online on LUD's to those case which are 11/4 when my fingerprinting status was updated. Does this mean USCIS has goofed the address change? I have safely filed the USCIS receipt's with me in case they create issue in future. :o

okay thanks for your replies..let me reiterate my situation.
I have an Indian passport and I recently got my conditional GC (based on marriage to a USC).I am currently on a holiday in Australia .I got my single entry,3month visit visa to Australia,which was stamped across"Not valid for further travel" at the Sydney airport.
Now my concern..I need to visit India in Sep and I was wondering if I could leave for India and return to Australia without having to apply for a visit visa again,now that I have my GC.
Do I need to apply for visitor visa again to enter Australia ,eventhough I have a US GC (which enables anyone travel any country without a visa) and Indian passport.
Please help answer my question....

The statement highlighted in Red is not true.
For example, UK does not allow GC holders without a visa whereas Switzerland has no such requirements when it comes to GC holders. So, check with the Australian Embassy/Consulate for their rules regarding GC holders.

Can anyone suggest me a good health insurance policy for the state of TN? What are the things that are important and what should be ignored? Most of the time I dont understand the technical terms used in it.
Currently I have one from a big health insurance company bought on the internet. I thought I was covered well. Every year they are raising the premium by about $30.00/month. I want to get another one, if anyone has bought from the open market please let me know.

I-94 validity given by immigration officer over-rides the I-797 I-94 validity
Yes the I-94 given by the Immigration Officer Overrides the I-94 Validity Issued by
USCIS with your I-797. This is Per the "Last Action Rule".
When you Entered US on your Visa, you should have shown the New I-797 Approval and the Officer @ POE would have given you the I-94 Valid until the New I-797, if they dont we have right to request to talk to their Supervisors.
Anyway, its too late now and you have the following 3 Options:
1. You can go any of the Customs And Border Protection deferred Inspection sites
and get it corrected, refer to link below to go the site nearest to you.
Also, it DOES NOT have to the same city where you entered US. You can
go to any site.
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/deferred_inspection/
2. You can go out of US and while entering back you should make sure you use the
Latest Approval. You can go to Canada by Road and Come back.
3. File for H1B Extension before June 2008 which is the Current I-94 date on your

My wife's H1 got approved & it is valid from October Ist. When she went to Social Security Office today 9/30 - they denied saying they can't pull up her information in their system (from INS) & hence they can't issue the SSN.
She was carrying her I-797 approval (along with I-94).
Anyone else faced a similar situation ? Any suggestions.

Sen Sessions is not only person who is opposing Cir/skil.There are many people in the Senate are opposing. Everyone knows that congress is evenly divided on immigration. But 10 Senators can make a big difference if some compromise bill is introduced. So anything can happen in next 2 months in immigration. Sometimes short time is advantage as they may pass bill in a hurry and lot of provisions may be passed without big visiblity.

is thinning every day. So far nobody could come up

While Jaguar and Land Rover are very strong brands with their own technologies and research & design capabilities. Besides Tata bought those brands when Rupee was historically high (below 40 per USD). So I don't think Tata made any mistakes.
I think it is Mahindra who is making mistake by not buying Hummer or Volvo or Saturn. I am very excited to see first Indian Vehicle to be sold in US i.e. Mahindra in 2009. No matter what, I will be the first to buy one.
