I can include one Zip 100 disc with jewel case. The drive is a Zip 250 from Iomega, a nice blue plastic like the iMac G3s and in mint condition. I think it has USB and SCSI, not sure though. Make me an offer that includes shipping for the drive and disc.

If you're willing to spend that much then why not just get a baseline 2011 MBP?

It's worth about $15. In ten years maybe $10.
In thirty years, if it still works and you can find some packaging for it (Original is best) - You might get $300 or so for it (Thats what decent nick 20year old rare models go for now, so since yours isnt particularly rare, thats what Id expect its max price to be if it was fully functional at 40something

The gatekeepers at the iTunes store, which sell the highly-rated German browser iCab, ordered it to disable all Javascript code in iPads and iPhones.
Terribly, terribly deceptive summary. Apple requested they remove JavaScript ADDONS, not remove JavaScript functionality which is still carried out through WebKit.

Why not just use Migration Assistant? I used that to transition my wife from an old PowerBook G4 to a MacMini and it was really simple. There were a few quirks since the other was such an old computer using a PowerPC chip, but it made the whole process really simple. I'm now kicking myself for not doing that when I bought my MacPro back in 2009.
Noticed that when I booted up and then I saw your post. Excellent recommendations. I used the migration assistant and everything is transferring now.

I still have a MOD library on my Amiga that I plan to port to my Mac sometime. Meanwhile they play in SoundTracker, I think it's called. I remember how impressed people were with my music library playing from my computer... in the early 90s :)
I liked playing with MED/OctaMED too. And Aegis Sonix.

Correct, pay a one time fee of $20 or $25 for My-Wi on demand. My-Wi on demand automatically creates a wifi hotspot when necessary so you don't have to constantly have to switch on and off. By far one of the best reasons to jailbreak an iDevice.

Hello everybody.
I have a question about putting the bottom case (plate) back.
Is there a special (or recommended) order to put the screws in to ensure that the bottom case is properly aligned? To avoid wobbling, creaking etc.
Maybe there is some kind of a "service manual" for the Air 2010? (there used to be one for the original Air).

Hi Everyone:
I've come back to the mac world. I've been away ever since my apple G3 was stolen. Now, I bought an apple I3 IMac 27". Hummm, I still miss my G3. Anyways, let's get to the problem.
In these threads, everyone is having problems with their IMac's not sleeping in Windows 7. Well not me. For me, my IMac is not sleeping in OS X [10.6.7]. I thought there was a hardware issue. Just to make sure it was not, I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the OS. Then, it was fine for awhile until I started installing software. The last thing I installed was skype in OS. And now it does not go to sleep in OS. Why doesn't my IMac fall asleep on its own in OS X? Could it be boot camp? Or, could it be skype? And yes, I reset the PRAM and followed the directions on the apple web-site and I even called apple care but, to no avail. I should have bought a Windows machine!
Just kidding....
Can someone help me please? If it's a skype issue then, I understand. But, why on earth would skype prevent my IMac from sleeping even when it is closed. It just doesn't make any sense for the programmers to have skype conflict with OSX 10.6.7; they would have resolved these types of conflicts by now.

I loved the Sony Trinitron tube they used, compared to the el-cheapo Performa 580 which used cheaper tubes.

There are many 40 pin ZIF to sata adapters out there... what's needed is actually a LIF adapter. According to other forums, this could do this job:

I dont think Apple will slap it into Powerbook, it just seems 2 big for it (phisical size). Remember, PBs are 1 inch think and are getting 20-40 % smaller with Intel!
Is it really that big? It measures about 1.8" by 1.8", and the package includes both GPU and 128 MB RAM. I forget how big 9700 was, but X1600 should be smaller.

Older 27" iMacs feature video-in, you can connect PS3 to it using something like Kanex XD (it is $150 device tho'). 2011 iMac doesn't have such port, but my guess is that you should be able to use TP as video-in. However, that's just my guess. I'd contact Kanex with this kind of question.
