Cant blame them, they probably got more important things to focus on than patching jailbreaks.
Hope they become more lenient on JB in general.
Unfortunately this will never happen :(
Shouldn't take too long to port over to redsn0w. Does anyone remember how long it was last time? For 4.3.2? I think it was like 7-10 days

I agree Expos is the better way as it is a simply push of a button or a click but the option to totally reveal the desktop is already there as I pointed out above. You just have to select the finder or desktop and then hit option-apple-h.

Didn't know you get credit in the Support Notes for reporting a bug :D time to start bug hunting...
Well probably for this one. This is a huge security breach for people who run corporate networks.

The iMac uses a desktop CPU while the Samsung uses a mobile CPU.
But the i7 2630qm beats the i3 2100 CPU in the iMac by a wide margin. In a passmark benchmark the is scores over 6,000 compared to the i3 which scores almost 4,000.
Here are the benchmark links:
Intel Core i7 2630QM (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-2630QM+%40+2.00GHz)
Intel Core i3 2100 (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-2100+%40+3.10GHz)
And the graphics card in the Samsung is more powerful than the ATI 6490.
So in this case the Samsung is a more powerful machine.

Ive have 2 Lacie Porsche drives and they both seem great. One 80gb and one 250gb. If you are only planning to use the external for backup storage then i think the porsche would be perfect cause there is no fan. but if you plan on using the external for extensive rendering and etc. then the D2 would be better.

Please list the hard drive that you received with your machine.
I've seen a couple of people in here with WD 1TB Caviar Black drives. (yes!!!)
Anyone getting different drives (Seagate, Hitachi, etc.)

OWC is making a Mac Pro PCI Express SSD aren't they? I haven't heard about it in what seems like a few months.
OWC, OCZ and FusionIO all said they are working on a fully Mac supported PCIe SSD. However, no one has heard any news yet and apparently they all took the information off their websites.
Doesn't seem to happen any time soon, although I do see the necessity for it as the current SSDs already saturate the 6Gb/s SATA port. Given the trend of SSD development, single drives might be capable of 1GB/s sequential speeds in two years (give or take). I highly doubt that we'll see a 12Gb/s SATA port by then.

Hmm its actually a windows PC (dont hurt me :( ) haha
so i remote in via logmein and use it that way. Im ok for a cd drive as i dont really need anything which uses a cd apart from installing the OS
Just looking at that NAS...oooooooo have you got one?
Whats the interface like? I am put off by linux web interfaces, id rather have something like logmein. if that makes sense? I feel its more controllable...but please correct me if im wrong
I won't hurt you for running windows as long as it's either 2K, XP or 7, each to their own and some software just exists/works better on PC.
The UI is an ajax webpage, it's pretty fast and fairly self explanatory as long as you don't drift into the dark recesses of iscsi targets, luns and whatnot.
I set one up for a local business that needed basic filesharing/backups. Have to admit i didn't play with all the bells, but qnap support were helpful and it was plenty fast for a group of 8 office users.
I like the fact that it could remain online all the time and draw ~12 watts on standby and less than 40 when 4 drives were up and spinning. It's got a load of ports on the back so plugging in external usb/esata drives and sharing them was a piece of piss.
If you feel you have plenty of drives already and maybe only want a small proportion of your storage protected against hardware failure, have a look at it's 2 bay little brother. QNAP TS219. Does all the same just less internal disks.

4th Gen iPod Touch skins now available at Best Skins Ever. I have their skin on my 1st gen iPhone as well as 80GB iPod classic, no issues at all. Cost is $6.99 for the full body skin. Going to order mine so hopefully the skin is here by the time Apple finally get's around to shipping out my 64GB touch.

So after the fiasco of Katrina and the pending one of Rita, this has turned out to be a very bad year for storms - and, unfortunately, the season isn't over. With all the talk of global warming and stronger storms, what are people going to do if things like this happen *every* year?
I'd like to get the view points from people who live down south and have had to deal with these or other hurricanes in the past.

I have a Dell laptop now with a 30gb drive and have barely 5gb filled. I don't think having a 40gb in my iBook will be a big problem.
An external drive would be nice because I would like to share files between computers.

I knew nothing of the negotiation details. I agree with you that is bad. I also noticed that our docks are sorely lacking modern technology that would allow them to load and unload ships and load and unload trucks way faster.

The stuff used on the heatsink is NOT an adhesive. It is just a compound that maximises the heat transfers between CPU and heatsink. The heatsink MUST be held down with the screws.
From the looks of it, you've either got a damaged bottom case (screw mount knocked off) or a bottom case for the wrong model (slightly different fittings).

Does anyone get sound from the ipod (any gen) and from headphones when pulled in? I thought maybe it was a setting to have both at once. There is no decrease in sound on either device and it is the same when using an aux cable thru a sound system. It is not actually a problem it is just annoying!!

I find shut down times amazingly fast now. Takes about 4 secs to shut down, even with a poultry 5400rpm HD. Also my Airport issues have gone, YAY!!
