I also live in a rural area, and with my measly 1-2 bars of 3g, I rarely drop a call and get 1.1-2.0 mbps download speeds. My phone has been perfect.

Some people had said that their 3G iPads were showing messages saying that AT&T required a data plan whenever they tried the switch.

Myspace is a very very powerful promotional tool for bands. My own band uses it, and I frequently use it to find new music to listen to.
There is more to myspace then 13 year old girls dressing up like sluts and demanding comments.
True. You're one of two I know on MacRumors who belongs to a band that promotes on MySpace.
It does get a little tiring with all of the people posting 8 bulletins at a time requesting comments or whoring their friends or themselves. Of course, that's only temporary since I delete them within a few days.

ok i was wrong with os 8 but .... if i read that info of the museums site right it really was a macintosh in the wrong market and it could be used to access the world wide web , and surprise it could be connected to a television like the mini today , had this been marketed right as a mini macintosh with a harddrive and more ram it could have been the grandfather of the mini , so it was a product in the wrong market no wonder it didn't sell

Yeah, the list of things it works well on is quite narrow. There is a google spreadsheet with compatibility somewhere. I was under the impression retina pad was far superior but I never bought it. Also moved to another app that was native ipad for the app I wanted to make fullscreen.

I have one and it's protected my phone several times when I've dropped it. I'm not sure how much "lighter" it is than the slider though, since I don't think the slider is particularly that heavy...

It's not just a mall store, Apple is nothing like any other mall store. First no mall stores offer full benefits & retirement packages to there employee's only managers and above. Second the benefits and hands on training is incredible and they use you and train you so that you will be ready to work at 1 Infinity Loop or Maden, NC at the billion dollar facility. Plus they give you all the training in the world to be a teacher, educate another, work for other companies using Mac products and the list goes on and on. Yes they have an intense application process but once you're in with Apple you connections will never seise to grow. The atmosphere as well is fun, exciting and different than any other store.

Nice! Was it hard to make? Do you have any fillings in there? If it's even a bit loose, it may sway while carrying it and wood is pretty tough so it could get dents or scratches.

Doubt it. I have the 2.0 ghz and it works great. If you do a lot of video encoding you'll see a speed up, but for me I'd have to be doing video all day for me to want to upgrade. I'm going to wait for a machine that has light peak/usb 3 and and i7 or better ... so I'll be hanging on to this machine for quite some time to come. The .66 increase in speed is just not something I'd see with how my machine gets used. If you do lots and lots of video, upgrade ... if not save your money.
