I'm getting a little anxious for iWork '07. Hopefully we'll finally get a spreadsheet program.

Me too. I really hope Apple kicks iWork up a notch and makes it commercial grade in terms of speed and lack of bugs, and adds in the missing features.

iWork has the potential to be brilliant. I'd love to dump MS Office once and for all. I'm there with Keynote, and with a very, very solid upgrade with Pages, I'll be able to dump Word.

Ok thanks for the info guys. I guess the main thing to take away from your info is that hyperthreading would do relatively little for me. This leaves the slightly faster clockspeed (and therefore slightly higher turboboost max) as the deciding factor for the i7.

I think I'm gonna go with the 3.1 i5, which should be a huge improvement for me seeing as i'm coming from a 2008 macbook with 2GHz C2D en 2GB of ram :P

I've been using Aperture 3.0 since 3.0.1 came out. This is FAR from "beta" quality software. It's rock solid on my 250GB+ Aperture library.

Yes, some folks have had problems, but that's to be expected; this is software, and software will always have bugs. The bugs were neither egregious nor wide-spread (although to hear the kvetching you'd think that every Aperture user had their photo libraries replaced with goat se pics and emailed to their coworkers).

The much less vocal majority have been using Aperture 3 for a while now and are getting a heck of a lot of use out of it.

Another +1.....loving it and zero problems here.:D

Yes, you can apply a password. And you can also set it so the network does not appear unless you type in the network name. Useful if you need to hide the network from someone.

The only good thing I can say about the new Spymac is that it seems to be a lot faster. Apart from that, I really don't like it. The old layout was better.

Wait, hang on. Was this supposed to be a FREE printer? If yes, then I can see how you'd be upset... otherwise, it's possible they just ran out of them and can't get anymore within a reasonable timeframe. In that case, you can hardly say that you were gypped; if they're only charging you for what can be delivered to you, that's correct behavior.

If you make sure to get the best GPU in your iMac when you order, it won't be too bad. It's been a while since the iMacs have been updated, though, so the GPU is a little old. Stay away from the MacBook for gaming, though, they have terrible GPUs. The 15" and 17" MBPs have decent graphics cards on the high end, but the MacBook is terrible.

When I click the search box in IE6, the submit button does highlight, but I can still type in the text field.

It might be the button:active declaration in the CSS that IE6 is hiccuping on.

Try starting your machine holding down option(alt) with the original startup CD and start "apple hardware test" it migth give you a clue.

Although it runs like dirt on my 3Gs, it is an absolutely great app and had to grab it for .99$ so I would have it when I upgrade to the next iPhone.

Also I have seen and played with this app on the iPad 2 and all I have to say is you could DJ the best house party ever with this app and your iPod music.
